*grins* I would have just not rotated it here, but made it "parallel" with the slope.

So, we have reset the clock and tried to get as much usable living space as possible from the floor plan. In doing so, we naturally moved away from the straight staircase and the gallery.

Since the staircase should still look nice, we chose a counter-rotating staircase with a landing. Right away, yes, the upper floor is set back and cantilevers over the entrance area to the right.

I am looking forward to your feedback. (Windows are deliberately not included yet, but they should not be a problem)

First of all, congratulations on the bold step. I find the doors slapped onto the walls in the children's rooms unfortunate, as there is then no depth distance for wardrobes in between. I could also imagine that maybe the north child would prefer the home office or otherwise there would be too much jealousy towards the south child with the valley view.

That means in front of the south child / sleeping / dressing there is still a roof terrace or at least roof access? - I think the cantilever is very much a matter of taste.

Thanks for the feedback. The office and the north children's room can be easily swapped in practice, no replanning is necessary for that, so I see it as uncritical. The thing with the doors is true, in the northern children's room I see no problem in moving the door a bit, in the southern one the dressing room would have to be slightly shortened and the children's room widened, so also doable.

Yes, in the south there are about 1.20 m of roof supervision. We consciously decided on this for optical reasons, as otherwise the house would look very block-like from the street due to its enormous height.

If that is the only criticism, then we are already very relieved and hopefully on the right track.

Best regards

First of all, the room layouts have to be right. If as a side effect the building's appearance becomes "tamer," that's gladly accepted - but nothing more. I would not go to contortions for that.

As far as I'm concerned, yes, for now.

Yes, I consider the impulse a good progress.

I join in the praise for the new planning, great!

Well, I don't find a north-facing room bad, because the sun doesn't shine in as much there, and that could make sleeping a bit more comfortable than a south-facing room. So it doesn't have to be a disadvantage.

I might possibly swap the dressing room and bedroom so that there is more sound insulation between the marital bed and the children's room.

Others will surely comment more expertly on the rest...
