I keep wondering why the builders let their sacred cow, like the straight staircase, ruin the entire floor plan. I know only a few floor plans where the straight staircase really fits. None of them are under 180m². And that, where curved staircases are much nicer.
What do we have here? An entrance where you practically walk upstairs with the first steps because you arrive directly in front of the stair landing. Ok, let’s move the front door a little upward on the plan, but then where do I put my clothes and bags? Oh, I first have to walk to the other end of the house before I finally get rid of my dirty shoes. But by then, the hallway is already built in. I also carry the shopping bags for the kitchen once around the house, definitely worth the investment in a robot vacuum or maybe better the granny flat for the cleaning lady?
Who is actually supposed to shower downstairs? The guest who is locked in the home office of exactly how many square meters? Estimated 8? Or do the two kids always have to run naked through the whole house? Because upstairs, the children's bathroom was apparently sacrificed to the next sacred cow: the glorious open space. Or is the whole family supposed to shower, bathe, brush their teeth, etc., all at the same time in the “living bathroom” (whatever that is)? (If the door there even has an acceptable dimension.)
The width of the living room is 3.50m? I would say already the bare minimum. It has to be, otherwise the “great” staircase wouldn’t fit.
Well, overall not the worst floor plan here. I hope the princess will be happy with her staircase and the open space. Maybe she should gild both so that no one gets the idea they are not worth it.
