Work planning single-family house 180 sqm flat roof with basement & double garage

I was once in a villa where the dining and living area was open up to the gable. Upstairs there was a library as a gallery. That is spacious and has a wow effect.

Unfortunately, this is a scale that few can build in.

Many builders have this or that wish that cannot be optimally realized with the given conditions. You have to weigh that up.
The OP asked for opinions. What it ends up being has to be decided by each builder.

It is already quite dark. However, if I think about which "apartments" I was offered in Augsburg 15 years ago, this one is luxurious and bright.

I already said earlier to let eating and cooking etc. revolve clockwise.
There is far too much information missing for a sketch on my part.
I said it several times: height indications!
Without getting straight to the point, also regarding the rear windows of the granny flat, a sketch doesn't really make sense.

We have decided not to build a [Einliegerwohnung], as this would cause too many restrictions and we would not be able to accommodate all wishes.

Many thanks so far, your rightly made criticism has initiated a thought process for us and we are now happy that we made this decision.

What kind of restrictions did you experience? In this hillside location, I inevitably see so much basement space being created that after technical and storage rooms there is too much left not to use it. The planning was not yet optimal, but something can be done there.
