And I myself find it good even here in the current rental apartment that an exhaust system is installed in the bathroom. Shower and out of the house. Not wasting 10-15 minutes ventilating.
On the topic:
- Lockable window handles are surely still something useful, cost hardly anything, and you can then, for example, lock the windows in the children's rooms so they don't get any silly ideas
- We will probably lead some kind of cable duct from the TV to behind the couch; somehow the rear speakers need an audio signal and wireless solutions still don't convince me
- Don't forget water and electricity outside; I have also read that someone had TV/internet (e.g. setting up a projector, watching football outside) installed on the terrace
- Built-in radio and built-in speakers in the bathroom, kitchen, and toilet, because otherwise eventually another ugly thing will stand around (I think there are some with Bluetooth connectivity too)
- Those weird mini "hand" washbasins in the toilet are completely unacceptable, there has to be a proper full-sized washbasin in there
- By the way, the hard drive can also be outsourced to the utility room; DVD/Blu-Ray player, as mentioned in the opening post, however, I would rather not banish to the utility room
And one more thing, but here I am quite uncertain:
Electrical wiring in empty conduits? Could make it easier to replace cables later or even retrofit smart home/KNX or even enable it at all. What do you do if the cable to the socket is dead, but everything is buried deep in the screed (without conduit)? Nowadays underfloor heating/screed generally should have a lifespan of 50 years or more, but do I still have to tear up the floor after 20-30 years because I need to replace the electrical cables? (This is rather going in the direction of how can I make the work easier... in 20-30 years.... )
