I have some with astro function (the cost of the control with all the bells and whistles is only 50€ if you buy it yourself) and I am very satisfied. With that, apart from the occasional nap of the children, I have no more work.
:
the problems you can have in case of a defect are greater with automation. Because you have it ->in addition to the devices you normally have. But there is little that can break down without automation so that many things in the whole house no longer work at once, at least I have many fuses and residual current devices installed.

Saruss, that sounds interesting. Which ones do you have exactly?

From Jarolift I think Thor (or so). But they are basically from Rademacher and fit well into some frames, e.g. Gira.

Thank you very much, I think I have already looked at them myself. Maybe I’ll order one for testing first, and if that works well, I’ll also convert more roller shutters.

Guys, stop it! Your banter is missing the point. You can also discuss this via private message.

Back to the topic of the thread:

The already mentioned sufficiently large roof overhang is great and can, depending on the design, keep the entrance area dry in the rain.
Washbasins under the sinks are very practical.
A well-organized utility room is important and makes loading, unloading, and rearranging easier. Enough shelves in the free spots on the walls and shelves above the washing machine/dryer as a storage surface. We also have a crate shelf for water crates/beer and co as well as a shoe rack for work shoes and various sneakers/football shoes.
Furthermore, a zipper Ikea bag has recently adorned our previously usable wall space next to the door. Attached to a nail. Stored inside: the bathroom mats that are not in use.
Previously, the mats occupied a shelf or were pushed back and forth from one floor to another until they mostly fell down.

The blue one? With a zipper?? I don't know that one Or another?
We have these adhesive hooks in the utility room on some surfaces (including the heater), on which, among other things, a bag for bags hangs.
