No, I don’t feel any zest for life/intensity when I have appointments with craftsmen, rather a necessary evil.
Then you shouldn’t build your own home! Definitely meant honestly and without sarcasm!
I’m also not happy when the craftsman/delivery service is expected on Monday between 10 AM and 5 PM...
Nobody will be happy about that. So far, I have only experienced such open appointments from delivery services/freight companies. I have never experienced a craftsman taking these "liberties": let them arrive a half hour later, that’s manageable. After all, you want something from them too...
Acquaintances, for example, also got a masonry stove from the chimney builder in their family at material cost and say that they only had it on twice last winter and would never have installed it if...
One shouldn’t compare apples and oranges here either – in other words: don’t conclude from acquaintances to yourself.
The stove produces heat like a radiator – not nice.
Yes! It
is nice! Besides the inertia of underfloor heating, many have the problem that it doesn’t emit radiant heat. Here the stove would be a little "compensation" if needed, e.g. after a frosty walk or other activity in the cold, to light the fire in the stove and let the radiant heat act on the body. Others use the built-in sauna or the hot bath instead – only these two alternatives have the disadvantage of being short-lived.
Concentrated on one point instead of even heat throughout the house (underfloor heating).
A stove should only be seen as an addition – not as an alternative to (conventional) room heating.
By the way, 2-5 times are enough for the glass to look like crap.
I have to agree with a previous speaker: if properly fired with good wood, that doesn’t happen often. My husband cleans twice during the heating season. For that, during the transition period to the heating season, we have the stove on about three times a week – our neighbors have been freezing in the house the last few weeks (outside temperature around 7 - 12 degrees) because the heating didn’t come on...
Everyone should be happy with what they like
That’s true!
Regarding the socket for an electric car
I think that’s good and forward-looking: costs are probably manageable and you will need it later. Great! We didn’t think of that
