We also discarded the idea of the server room. The charm of the solution would be a clean appearance of our living wall, where only the TV with the external speakers would be visible. Everything else would be "hidden."

Regarding the turntables, the value does not lie in more space but rather in clarity.

The pictures are for illustration only and are still in planning or under construction at my house. Therefore, I cannot tell you why the slopes are tiled.

I was thinking more of an anti-vibration/anti-slip mat.

That is exactly what we did. Furthermore, we also integrated a shower in the guest bathroom to really have the possibility to live alone on the ground floor.

Yes, it will have a flap and is therefore sealed.

Since I build the things myself, the costs are kept within limits.

Since it is covered and hidden, it should not be visually noticeable. It will look like a clad chimney pipe. Regarding clogging, this depends on the diameter. Ours will be 40-50 cm wide and thus should actually work. Your argument regarding hygiene is not comprehensible to me, because in the basement the dirty laundry then ends up in a laundry basket.

Another nice to have for home builders nowadays are sockets with a small integrated LED light that illuminates the way at night --> see photo

Hype about the shafts? These parts have been around for decades...

The sockets from Gira are simply completely overpriced - nice, yes, but even too expensive for personal purchase.

I had a sensor from Gira installed that dims the light in the hallway at appropriate dusk and increases to full brightness with a hand movement. This makes the effect a bit more pleasant when getting up at night - and in the morning as well.

50cm for the shaft? It will be difficult with corresponding pipes - especially it gets very expensive with KG. As a tip: I used corrugated pipe - lighter and much cheaper.

You’re right: I never gave much thought to such a thing — I didn’t have to, since I chose the cellarless house variant with a second utility room upstairs.

However, this is not a generalization when I base it on the hole shown at the top of the photo and mentally stuff our clothes in there.
If you want to build classically with a usable cellar and 3 rooms plus a bathroom upstairs, feel free to install a thing like that, I don’t care.

We are still planning a laundry chute. However, I find the one on the bathtub here somewhat impractical. Nevertheless, we have not yet seen a charming and safe solution. Recently, during a shell construction inspection, we only examined the large pipe, which was also unfortunately installed (it runs through the room on the ground floor and still needs to be complicatedly concealed, ended in the upper floor with the floor) and you have to be afraid that no small children play around there.

We do not want a laundry chute because we do not have an employed housekeeper and our children should learn to sort their laundry and also wash it themselves sometimes instead of "out of sight, out of mind"

The learning effect and the associated attitude would then be higher with the laundry chute = better behaved children = better Germany = brilliant
