I can't say anything about building it yourself, but I like the carport. We have a similar one planned. From which provider is it? We have an offer from Dahmit Neumarkt. Zapf also has something like that in their range

Building a carport is really not rocket science. You can use the dimensions of the kits as a guide if you don't want to do the math yourself and add a little extra by rough estimation. Having some knowledge of connection technology doesn't hurt, otherwise watch on YouTube which mistakes to avoid and how to do it properly. I would build it out of wood because I simply like working with this material. Presumably, you could park a tank on the roof later – whatever. The combination of delicate and highly stable is always expensive – and it shouldn't be expensive if I interpret the OP correctly.

Or not: as I said, I do not know your house, and therefore I automatically lack the idea of how the carport and house fit together. But I consider another connection to be even more important: namely the one between the quality of the materials and the skill and talent of the craftsman.

Here you will not find a link to a ready-made static calculation, nor will anyone send it to you via PM.
Therefore, you will either need external help who provides you with a drawing and statics, or who orders the material for you and helps you with the assembly (for a fee), or you take a kit.

My father once got a kit from the local timber dealer.
I hired a carpenter who drew, purchased, and cut everything. We pre-painted and helped with the assembly.
In the end, it was about €9,000 for 9x6m including a partition wall and sliding door as a shed.

Edit:
If you paint at least 3 times, then there isn’t much maintenance.
We did 2x pre-painting, 1x touch-up after finished assembly.
Dirt can be cleaned with a water jet, and after almost two years there is no weathering, despite the northeast side in the house’s shadow.

Kit, look exactly at how they were calculated, most of the time the wind and snow loads are only minimal. If no side wall is included, it was not calculated either. There is a reason why kits that consider such things quickly land in the range of 7000 - 8000 euros. In the end, the difference to a carpentry company is not that big anymore. We have an offer for a double carport with tool shed, skylights, doors, roof, and drainage measuring 6.50 by 9 meters for 12,000 euros.
