No, of course not. Floor coverings in the living areas, painting work, kitchen - the buyer can do and decide all of that. I just like to design the kitchen layout in such a way that a sensible kitchen plan with good storage space is possible.

Those were EXACTLY our thoughts.

What sill height does the window in the kitchen have? Not that the windowsill is lower than the countertop.

I just think it's a matter of taste. I like large, continuous window fronts. I wouldn't want such a tacky door there. Besides, there is a door right behind the work island. I would find that a bit "door-cluttered." Either I would plan the kitchen so that there could also be cabinets under the window. Or like we did: the window is positioned roughly as shown in the floor plan, the distance between the work island and the kitchen row is about 110 cm. And we DELIBERATELY made the windowsill deeper than the work surface as a "chat window." The windowsill is used so much by us and our friends for leaning, sitting, chatting that I already had to resort to force to lure people away from there. But again, it's a matter of taste; for us, it's perfect! Otherwise, of course, solve it as already pointed out. Then there should be no windowsill at all but, of course, the work surface fitted there.

Here you go Did I really not log out here before the ski vacation? Mea culpa Won't happen again...

The work counter separates the dining-living area from the kitchen, access to the garden can be seen in the first picture (that's the movable part of the sliding door).

That's why there's only the "crouching window" in the kitchen and deliberately no door. The windowsill is actually not much lower than the countertops but obviously a great spot for all residents and visitors to crouch and chat (currently just a bit "cluttered" with decorations )
At first our architects actually planned a kind of "chat window," the lower part would have been tilt-able. But that was a bit too much for me. So the lower part is fixed and the upper part tilts open. With ventilation and extractor hood, in hindsight we could have made the window completely fixed, but oh well.
In front of the window you can still see part of my Corten steel herb raised bed. You can quickly pop out there and pick herbs Soon it will be planted for the first time!
