Kids, it’s enough to make you cry. Can I just rant for a moment? Our shell construction is still not closed. For 5 weeks, roofers and window installers have been messing around!! The plasterers have been itching to get started for weeks, I can’t have any house connections installed, the slab for the equipment room can’t be poured (all because the scaffolding is still there), everything gets wet again every time it rains. Can someone please take me for a ride?
And why? Roof and windows, my absolute hated trades. At the window company, an incompetent person is at work who makes so many mistakes that I’m raging inside. The aluminum shutters in the attic are RAL 7016, not silver gray. The handles are the wrong ones. Small things, but not this one: all profiles for the extensions were ordered in white and are therefore useless. Everything had to be reordered and what do we have now? Bingo, waiting time. At both houses, the corner glazing cannot be installed, and at ours on the garden side additionally the fixed glazing. They installed all the other windows and did not seal them at the load-bearing blocks; sensibly, they are waiting to come back when the correct profiles arrive. !!!1!!11! During the torrential rains last week, everything pressed into the house and we were completely flooded again. Not least because the roofers had not yet attached the downpipes and all the water masses from the roof valleys ran down the building wall. The colleagues took 4 weeks to install a roof window and the front valley is still not finished. According to the construction manager, the architect and roofer are so at odds over our building that they have stopped cooperating on future projects. The Katja Sprint is now being taken out to dry for the third time. I could scream. In my assessment, the roofers simply have too much to do, but the guy at the windows is really the absolute last idiot. 4 weeks for the element lists. 1000 mistakes. Client corrects them, after another 3 weeks the same faulty lists come back for re-correction. After another 2 weeks, the order is finally placed. Endless delivery time due to special color. Then, two days before installation, he notices that the scaffolding has to be rebuilt. More time passes before the scaffolder can do it. Then the mentioned profiles are wrong. The people are pulled off before sealing is done. And so it goes on and on. I HATE this distracted, loveless botching. I couldn’t work like that!! My boss and all my colleagues would constantly be standing over me and giving me the finger. It makes me furious deep inside to be dependent on such a clown. And nothing happens at all. Nothing! Whiiiinnyyyyy. Thanks for listening if you made it this far.

wrong local adverb

You're welcome. It doesn't help, but may it still do some good

No, that was intentional. You also say to children, "do you want to be picked up?" ;D I just want to make a child-like "waaah" right now...
But thanks!

Uiuiui, that really sounds hair-pulling. *comfort*

If the window installer is so incapable of organizing themselves, I'd just do it myself. They should only execute from now on. It was the same with the water spouts for us too. We then put some on ourselves. Are there no interim solutions so that the other trades can already start?

Thanks. Sniff. Everything that could somehow be continued has been finished for a long time. Electrical and sanitary rough-in have been done for weeks, in an open shell! Roof insulation, vapor barrier, and drywall in the attic as well. The next ones are simply the plasterers, who are ready to go, but only once all windows are installed. It is really maddening. We are also quite far along. Window sills have been specified, flooring is decided, tiles are chosen, facade colors too, interior doors as well. Plans for outdoor facilities are also far advanced; theoretically, we could already start paving, but not without exterior plaster + equipment shed & with scaffolding. Everything is set, but nothing moves without the stubborn windows. Why did we have to choose such special stuff. And those glass corners. And those offset roof ridges. If we had just taken Standard A, we could probably already be thinking about moving soon.
