I still think the whole idea is great. Unfortunately, I cannot come to terms with the living room, which in my opinion is too dark. Otherwise, I am very excited about the first pictures.

Me too (think the change makes sense ...)

... can you explain why you find the change sensible?

I would find it even more sensible to consider a living room without a hallway door, but actually with a window on the left side in the corner, and to place the kitchen where the living area is now. Because, as it is currently drawn with the TV on the left and then the idea of a peninsula kitchen on the right, with the kitchen and the table between the TV and the imagined peninsula it will rather be a slalom course.

Just neutrally asking, why? What might we have not considered?

I still believe it won't be too dark. I'm curious myself! Following your comments (back then the discussion with the headache stair situation), we actually moved the stairs forward a bit, so that the headroom under the first stair cantilever in the living room is now 180 cm. I think that's acceptable

[USER=26092] I am really confused – if I'm not completely mistaken, you yourself suggested that at some point during the floor plan discussion – remove the terrace door = L-shaped kitchen possible, island moves over. Or was it @ypg?? Anyway – the kitchen stays there, living there is not so nice, you just look at the car next to the house... Bringing in groceries would work through a) the hallway door and b) the second terrace door next to the kitchen (by the dining area). So you could also store groceries directly from the car sideways. We found the terrace door in the kitchen unnecessary firstly because of the second one right next to it and secondly because of the lost kitchen space in the not exactly large kitchen anyway. I don't really see a slalom either... I just go from the kitchen not right but left past the island to the table... or am I completely missing something here?

I find the kitchen fine as it is and also the change of the terrace door. Aside from that, are you selling including the kitchen? The future occupant will probably plan their own desired kitchen anyway and ignore our tips. Also a reason for me to plan only a normal window there (not floor-to-ceiling).

sure

- I don’t like doors all around leading outside
- in the kitchen, at that spot, I find it totally unnecessary, because right next to it in the not even separated living area there is also a door
- at that spot I would never take away the space, because in my opinion there is already far too little in the kitchen. I would probably not plan an island there, but rather an L shape.
- I find the door to the hallway okay, so you can quickly get around the corner with groceries and don’t have to walk all the way around. At first glance.
If it were mine now, I would of course take a closer look with measurements etc. to see if I can fit all the kitchen I want there, and then maybe leave the door out there as well. But I’m not in the mood for that right now.
