Hello everyone and special thanks to ! It is great how much is contributed here and especially by you.

I have to admit, we are currently a bit overwhelmed. So much feedback and at the same time the next round with the architect and first cost calculation.

We are currently gathering ourselves and looking at what is an option for us and how we can integrate it.

Best regards! mini

Yes, I like to confuse the average builder with alternatives to deliberately throw them off track. Don't stress yourselves and don't let yourselves be pressured! Just always pick the best of everything and then tell the architect, "go ahead - we want everything and cost-neutral!" Let him struggle - after all, he's getting paid for it.

... which is quite sensible with the "average client" - but here we are dealing with the rare species "client with a very diligent architect," where confusion can indeed sometimes be counterproductive.

Never. With a house, you can weigh things a bit. The more alternatives you finally put into the skat, the more certain the decision stands and you know what you are getting.

We did it the same way and of course didn’t realize everything. I’ll share a few ideas here that we really like but which also caused some controversy: - Cover the roof with photovoltaic solar tiles (we have the Autarq solution on it). This means electricity from the roof without visual impairment – and for the eternal photovoltaic calculators: yes, nicer and better also means more expensive. - Consider room acoustics. Rooms with the right damping are incomparably more comfortable than rooms with hard sound reflection. (Ligno Trend or Fantoni) - Think about lighting from the beginning, possibly separating functional and aesthetic lighting mentally. - Don’t be satisfied with the usual switch programs. There are incredibly beautiful switches beyond the typical German electrician standard (GI Gambareli or Fontini…) - When choosing building technology, consider not only price and performance but also system dependency and operability in old age. - If something “doesn’t work” or is too expensive, first ask how one could alternatively come closest to the basic idea. Be confident! It doesn’t matter what “one” does – “one” doesn’t live in your house, but you specifically do.

An important point. I would also like to have more wall lamps than I currently have. It's difficult to plan (I think), but you need to take the time for it.
