I believe almost all providers like Weberhaus, Rensch-Haus etc have this heating system (Proxon) with cooling function as standard in their offer, that’s all I wanted to say!
Since when has Rensch-Haus offered Proxon? In 2017, no timber-frame house builder offered it to us. I don’t know anyone who has a timber-frame house with Proxon.
Then the Proxon sales team must have really put some effort in. Streif Haus, Bien-Zenker, Hanse Haus were also involved. And with all the providers we spoke to, the heating system was also praised....
Switching to an air-to-water heat pump with underfloor heating is no problem.
I think many companies include the heating because it is cheap (no underfloor heating necessary), thus an economic advantage for the company. Or seen the other way around, if many have it in their program they can also offer it and do not have an economic disadvantage due to the more expensive underfloor heating.
Whether it makes sense to save money here to get a significantly worse heating system is another matter.
Hello, we had also considered timber frame construction. After I informed myself about the heating, that option was ruled out. The additional cost for underfloor heating with an air-water heat pump was low.
What surprised me was rather that there was also cooling for the summer included. Cooling would not be possible with an air-water heat pump. So does the house get too warm in summer making cooling necessary? Or is it just a nice gimmick?
We have now also switched to solid construction for other reasons.
Best regards, Anna
Okay, got it! Can you also tell me reasons on your side why you switched to solid construction?
