Then take a picture or whatever.
Value is not the same as price.

: Absolute agreement It’s not about some ideological values here, it’s about clearly defined prices + a margin. The margin is granted to everyone, but it’s not for nothing that in other industries there is something like "usury," and that is illegal. I don’t want a bargain, I just want to buy a kitchen without being ripped off. The dealer is more than welcome to make their margin! But we’re talking about enormous price differences EXACTLY for the same kitchen. The comparison with Ikea is completely off because it’s a different manufacturer. Of course, kitchens from different manufacturers can vary in price, and of course, with good reason. But when you talk about the identical product, then the price should move within a somewhat narrow corridor. Everything else is deliberate lack of transparency and fooling the customer. If I configure a VW Golf at a VW dealer for €30,000, then I won’t be offered the same Golf for €70,000 at another VW dealer. And that’s exactly the scale we’re talking about with kitchens.

And that's exactly my point - 100% agreement!
That's why I started the thread.

The same goes for sanitaryware. If you go to an exhibition here, you can note what you like but don’t even get a price indication. Whether you’re admiring the priceless tile or see something within your budget is absolutely impossible to find out. You then have to name a specialist craftsman, who can get the item list with prices, add his markup, and then you can faint when you see the final price. Ultimately a total waste of time for everyone involved because price does play a role and in this respect, you get no orientation at all. We wanted to buy a mirror cabinet for the rental house – I really don’t need a craftsman for that – but it was simply impossible. They didn’t even want to hand me a brochure for the desired item – just don’t find out the manufacturer and item name! After some discussion, I went straight to the desired item, opened the door, and took a photo of the nameplate. I said goodbye with the words that I would now buy it online. In turn, I was shouted after with a ban from the store (!!), saying how rude it was to look here and then buy somewhere else... I had to suppress my laughter because they hadn’t actually wanted to sell me anything the whole time. (The mirror cabinet was supposed to cost 2,x thousand € online – what it would have cost there including the specialist craftsman’s margin… no thanks) These are business models I wish death upon. They resist with all their might against the “new” world. In the end, only collapse can result because they missed the connection.

I have also had this experience with bathroom furniture, there is not a single price on the products. How am I supposed to choose and compare anything if I don't know the prices.

Best regards

Usury is a legal transaction through which someone, by exploiting the plight, inexperience, lack of judgment, or significant weakness of will of another, lets themselves or a third party promise or grant financial advantages for a service that are in a striking disproportion to the service.

So this definitely does not apply here. And what is a fair margin? The one that appears at the top on billiger.de and is the result of wages that others call unfair?

Again, the only difference between kitchens and all other consumer goods is that you cannot compare prices on the internet, but only in the store. That may not fit the times, but as long as the customer accepts it, this lucrative model will certainly not change.
