Well, you could make the window less wide. In general, it depends on the kitchen planning; a wall cabinet should just barely fit there.

It is always said that it depends on the kitchen planning. But will a kitchen planner change the window again, meaning the dimensions and arrangement? Probably not, right? If it really doesn’t fit, it has to be adjusted, that’s clear. When using tall cabinets, it would have to be adjusted, but I see more than enough kitchen space here plus a pantry, so we don’t need them.

Making the window less wide is an option. The question is whether it’s worth it to me, since it would entail quite a few changes to the windows. From my point of view, at least the width of the windows for children’s room 1, 3, and the living room would have to be adjusted. Also, the windows on the house front could be adjusted. That means those in the office and bathroom.

Alternatively to adjusting the window, you could make the wall cabinets only 3m long, then there is enough space and it doesn’t feel cramped.

Planned by me, the downpipe would be shifted into the corner. And I don't necessarily see a domino effect on three windows, but only on the one directly above. Symmetry as an own goal ;-)

No, of course they won’t do that. But you have to be clear that you can’t have tall cabinets all the way into the corner there. I don’t know how you want to plan your kitchen. For me, it definitely wouldn’t be this U-shape according to the architect’s plan... I’d rather imagine a layout with a row and an island. And then you’re a bit limited in the corner. And instead of a window, direct terrace access from the kitchen ;)

We always wanted to use the bay window as the terrace exit. But I agree with you, the solution with a cooking island and direct access to the terrace is more practical. The only thing is that the fridge would probably have to go into the row as well and would take up space again. Alternatively, you could certainly place the cooking island on the exterior wall of the house and that would solve the fridge problem. The terrace window would have to be narrower in any case.

Our current kitchen has a 3m kitchen row with wall cabinets + 1.2m kitchen row with tall cabinets but not up to the ceiling + cooking island of 1.2m x 1m. From my point of view, it is not a small kitchen and we don’t want less.

How wide would you make the window?

I don't have your overall floor plan in mind right now, so I don't understand your refrigerator comments at all. I would plan the kitchen the way I want it and then place the windows accordingly. That way I would have already planned the house ;)
