Hanseatic seem to be the only ones managing to get such refrigerators into efficiency class D, everyone else E-G. With up to 450 kWh per year and currently 50 cents/kWh electricity, definitely not insignificant.
Especially since I am also surprised about the space. Around 500 liters sounds like a lot. But my normal Siemens refrigerator with 200x70 is hardly less. And it is rated at 160 kWh/a, not 250 or sometimes 450 like some from LG.
Then it is more efficient again to put a separate freezer in the HAR. Especially for stuff that you only need to access once or twice a year.
PS: It is a refrigerator, not a moon rocket. LowClass manufacturers should be able to manage that by now. Premium manufacturers now almost only score in the smart home sector. Then the refrigerator talks to the iPhone or you can look through a window to see if there is still vodka in it. The only problem: The window is hard to insulate and makes the refrigerator inefficient again.
