Regarding the basement window: Did you look at the right basement window? For me, the basement window is indeed quite close to the door but not too close. See also the picture below.

I would generally not choose floor-to-ceiling windows in the rooms on the upper floor. Especially in children’s rooms, here mainly in child 2, there will often be furniture in front of these windows and that can be seen from outside.
Better wider windows with parapet height of 80 to 90 cm.

I briefly wanted to have a 2.5m wide window in children’s room 2, but I quickly realized that is nonsense! The window in children’s room 2 is 2m wide, and there is about 65cm distance to the wall on both left and right sides. That should be enough for normal furniture, right?

To be honest, I don’t know how you imagine the windows in the bedrooms. There is still supposed to be a dresser on the right side as seen from the floor plan below.

Draw the imagined furniture into the bedroom and then we will place the windows.

That was just an example window from an almost similar floor plan but a different house in post #112. Sorry if I caused any confusion here.

The plan was for the furniture to be arranged as shown below. A dresser will be placed to the right of the bed. If you have a better idea, feel free to share it.

All positions at parapet height 4 or 5 may need to be coordinated a bit more with the ground floor.
