Basically, I think the kitchen window is exactly right as shown in the plan, that’s how it is in my kitchen.

On your left wall there are a few tall cabinets, then the cooktop, dead corner, and a row in front of the window, so an L shape. In addition, I have a bare, freestanding island.

The advantage of having the window planned further to the left is that you get wonderful daylight on your cooktop.

In my case the wall section is 30cm wide, then a fixed glazing 2m wide.. If you want upper cabinets, that would still fit. So I think it’s perfect.

The large window really makes an impression and looks great. We would then have 45cm as a wall section if it stays like this, tall cabinets won't fit there but wall cabinets will. When I see the photo from you, I realized I worried for nothing. :D THANK YOU!

I think the best thing will be to have both variants planned out at the kitchen studio. So once with a patio exit and a row plus a kitchen island and then the U-shape we currently have in the floor plan. Thanks for these two sentences, I will then also have the windows set so that it is as optimal as possible for the kitchen. :)

Tomorrow, the general contractor wants to discuss the elevation (top edge of finished floor) with me. Hanghaus2023 had already written that 111.00 m top edge of finished floor would be good from his point of view. I also don’t want to set the house too high so that one can enter the house without stairs if possible. The neighbor has 111.5 m and I think that is too much.

At what elevation would you set the house? Thank you very, very much!!!!!

To be able to assess it, I have attached the latest site plan again.

Since I live in a seemingly rare region in the countryside, where building _with_ the slope _below_ street level is still common (instead of forcing the terrain) and where it is also not seen as a problem to drive the driveway to the garage ;) … I am probably somewhat alone in this regard with the advice: follow your gut feeling. After all, you have a basement and a side granny flat that can also be kept at a different level.
