The staircase takes up a lot of space, would a half-turn staircase also work there?
I would significantly reduce the size of the bathroom downstairs. Then the question is how often you need the guest room and the office. Possibly you could combine the office and guest room and put a fold-out couch for visitors in.
Enlarge the living area accordingly so that it is more L-shaped.
A lot has already been said about the hallway and wardrobe; I wouldn’t underestimate that with 4 people either.
Upstairs, I would make sure that the children's rooms face south (i.e., the garden) and maybe are a bit bigger. The bathroom would then be in the north. But all this depends on the size of the staircase, and the need for office and guest room.
