Stairs - Which material, which appearance?

We are also currently building a townhouse and I can tell you the following about it: We also definitely wanted something stylish and visually appealing. However, ours is a half-spiral staircase with a storage room underneath on the ground floor. Unfortunately, you don’t see much of the staircase, only the first steps at most.

Our stair builder strongly advised against a steel stringer staircase. We are now getting a Treppenmeister Viva including white risers (see picture or google). The rods will be made of stainless steel. You really don’t need more staircase in a townhouse.

I wouldn’t necessarily paint the stairwell in color but leave it white. Maybe you should also think about lighting (at foot level or on the wall).
