Layout question: Replace straight staircase with L-shaped staircase

That will be way too tight right next to the front door. I wonder if that's really nice.

Is the current staircase tight or the L-shaped staircase? The question is whether an L-shaped staircase would fit at all.

I still don't understand why anyone would want to reschedule that to L? What is the advantage?

It's simply about shortening the walking distances, since the door to the bedroom would then be closer to the ground floor and it would be easier with a baby. Yes, the children will also grow older and will eventually be in their own rooms, I know that. But that was just a thought and I would just like to know, if someone is familiar with this, if it would be possible. Thank you

So you want to move the bedroom door to the end of the dressing room, where the exit area of the straight staircase is still in the way. I can understand the purpose is a shorter sprint to the "Child 2" room at night – but what does that have to do with the ground floor?
I would rather swap the room functions of the dressing room and "Child 2" while K2 is still a baby...
