In which direction is the staircase? Experience and opinions

Presumably not intentional - hence the advice not to want to contribute to the drawing of his house himself:

yes crap, I only just realized that the depicted stairs can be assumed to be basement stairs. They were supposed to be the variants of the ground floor stairs.
