The rule is based only on the economic aspect of the basement.
A basement can be much more than just a storage room, especially if it extends 1 meter above ground level; it can include a utility room, hobby room, study, children's room, laundry room...
And many things in house construction are not chosen based on economic aspects.

Exactly for this reason, one should not only know the rule in content but also already apply it before/during the translation of the room program into a building body (i.e., at the beginning of performance phase 2, not only during the discussion of performance phase 3). Even because of the possible consequence of a mixed construction method, this is a key decision factor.

That is also why I said the rule is based on my experience and not opinion. If it were up to me subjectively – I am a passionately lousy inconsistent declutterer – the only answer to the basement question would be "yes." Besides, I am very seriously minded and therefore already need a basement to laugh.

This most sensible basement form is unfortunately nowadays being tried to be eradicated by many development plans – just like the mansard roof.

That is a pity. But fortunately, there are still some areas without a development plan.

Exactly, that's what it's all about here; brainstorming and inspiration.
No one, me neither, wants/should evangelize you here, but it shows you the different life designs, each of which also works and that makes it exciting.

Right, thanks again for that, we went through it today. The general page mirroring didn’t find any favor here and the wall between the children’s rooms stays straight for now – the idea with the quasi-recessed cupboards is interesting, but that also limits this wall again to furniture that fits this size. That’s good for the cupboards now, but the big one is already thinking about how to put the bed somewhere else (on the wall there, for example), and then that would be awkward.

But what we (all four) liked was your design regarding the bathrooms. We (more or less) adopted that. Not the door, it stays in the bedroom (the electrical distribution goes into the corridor wall there. Even if theoretically it could go into the wall towards the children’s bathroom (6cm of remaining wall must be the minimum distance from the installed distribution), I don’t want it there. No more than towards the study or children’s room either).

The ground floor is relatively unchanged – winter garden gone, but the room enlarged. The living room door is one of the points where they should say what else besides 98 cm width is possible. And the window of the multi/guest room should become a single one. The room then fits quite well with the planned furniture (a wall folding bed and a sofa bed. If both are used at the same time, there’s not much floor space left, but it’s enough).

Oh, and the tip about home.by.me was great. That really feels good.

I was already told that I won’t get input again until week 28. They actually still haven’t heard "You shall have no other customers besides me" – and even worse, there’s also vacation. ;) So I’ll only be able to provide updates then.

A sliding door is NOT a room door. It is not soundproof and lets any noises through.
