My tool can’t handle stairway windows across floors. That would basically be the counterpart to the ribbon window in the kitchen.
If I think about it carefully, I would mirror the hallway so that the entrance is closer to the driveway and the stairs move to the other side. Then give the children’s rooms the nicer west side, bedrooms and bathrooms to the east side.

I don't find cabinets behind the door particularly practical because cabinet doors and the room door can quickly get in each other's way, meaning you always have to be careful whether someone is at the cabinet. We have a shelf behind the door for things you wear again, house clothes, etc. But it doesn't have any doors.

But it's always a gain to have a cabinet space of one meter - the clutter has to be stored somewhere.

The someone here probably means just one person in the bedroom. For my taste, there is far too little hidden cabinet space here.
