Rensch-Haus in Kalbach, Hanse Haus in Unterleichtersbach, Bien-Zenker in Schlüchtern. Those are already day trips to cycle through. In Frankenberg, as far as I know, there is only Fingerhaus.

Well. I have the electrical completely outside anyway, and also photovoltaics. I don’t need to leave anything with Fingerhaus and their electricians because what needs to be prepared here is on the one hand suitable empty conduits so that I can get the cables to/from the modules through, and on the other hand space in the technical room to accommodate the equipment. The first is planned, the second is planned. That should work, knock on wood... (Famous last words).

Yeah, even though funnily both Rensch-Haus and Bien-Zenker are practically just around the corner.

You have the electrical outside? How can you imagine that with a prefab house? I thought everything had to be prepared in the factory?

Oh, it's not that complicated. Basically, only the communication partners have been switched:

Whether I do the electrical work or the company that Fingerhaus always commissions does, the really interesting part is the planning of where what goes. And for that, Fingerhaus needs an exact plan by date X. I can provide that just as well as their electricians.

Then they drill the holes in the walls according to this plan and pull in a pull wire that sticks out 5cm at each end.

After the house is set up, I/my electrician then have 3 weeks to turn the pull wires into actual wiring, after which the ceilings are closed up and the work proceeds as usual with the other trades.

So instead of "Fingerhaus electrician talks to me and finds out what I want, makes the plan, [...]," it's now "I make the plan, [...]."

We built with Schwirten & Klein. The electrical system was not in the walls at the time they were erected.
Then we decided in the finished house where which switches and sockets should go and simply wrote it on the wall. That way, we also knew where an installation level was needed. This was then prepared by the carpenters and then equipped by the electrician. In addition, several cables run in the floor anyway – there is now screed on top.

Besides good communication, matching scheduling is also important. You have to have time exactly when the electrical work is due so as not to delay subsequent trades. Here it becomes a bit trickier than you might initially think. The supply lines are laid and connected immediately after the assembly. This also includes a large part of the electrical installation.
