Maybe you don't care about that. But you give the OP 65k as a guideline to influence his decision. Since you haven't had anything built so far, you don't even know what it will really cost him in the end. ;)
With 65k for a utility basement of about 80m², you're totally on point – it's not the only offer we had either... Definitely a good guideline. It always depends on what is ultimately included, no question! But it is just a guideline – in the end, he has to ask his architect/GC or whoever himself.
That's why I build with a GC and sign my contract with the things I want. If afterwards I want to plaster myself in Q3, lay more expensive tiles, suddenly decide I want underfloor heating, or something similar, then I know what I have to pay.
If you choose the right GC and plan carefully, then this nonsense about “additional costs afterwards” doesn't apply. Anyone can tell me now: "Just start building first" --> Fact is: It won't be like that :D
But if I had decided on a prefab house à la "I won't name names now" – I definitely wouldn't be so sure about cost transparency :D
In the end, though, your statement is complete nonsense: "Just wait and see what happens" --> Then every basement would have to be more expensive than planned? So the OP wouldn't be able to calculate anyway :D
