Absolutely right. That's why I then ask: how do you use it? What speaks for or against it? But with the question mentioned, you only get "yes, do it" or "no, don't," you always have to follow up.

I wasn't criticizing getting informed, but rather the way the question was asked. There is no such thing as what "one" needs.

Yes, as I said We will plug the following into the LAN sockets. Living room: Accesspoint, TV, Receiver, Android TV Children's room (Room 1): Accesspoint, TV, Receiver, Android TV and PC Studio: Left of the window: Accesspoint, TV Receiver Android TV Right of the window: PC/Laptop, Printer I know we need more than 2 cables at many points but then we would put a switch there Because more sockets would become too expensive

Oh man. You already know that you have a need and don't prepare for it. Switch reduces the performance since it is only connected via one line. This will probably not be a problem for you. But it also costs money and requires power. I'm out of here. I hope the house construction is going well.

You can never have enough LAN sockets.
This is what our living room looks like, with at least +1 double socket on every wall.

The whole thing twice in case the wife wants to rearrange :p

Yes, but you don't pay 250€ gross per Cat Duplex

And unfortunately, we can't afford a Lan Parade (no offense) in house construction

I would also like more LAN cables but unfortunately they are extremely expensive here

That's why you think about something like that beforehand and include it in the construction description as long as you can still go to another provider. Now it's just the phase of "take it or leave it" Maybe I'm also dumb (software developer and this is clearly an admin problem...) but how exactly does your TV picture come now? Directly via the TV, the receiver or the Android thing? Probably not from all three at the same time. Yeah sure, but you can't expect someone else to make a personal decision for you. The range of opinions has already been expressed here, now the OP has to consider whether to adapt the number of sockets to their needs or their needs to the number of sockets they can afford. For my part, I have an HDMI cable (about €5 as Amazon Basics) connected to my TV which I plug into a laptop that gets the movie from the internet via WLAN. Maybe not the most elegant solution, but it works great. (As an upgrade, at some point it's planned to replace the laptop with a mini PC.) For linear TV there is a second cable that connects the TV to the cable connection. Although I haven't used it at least since the last channel reshuffling...
