Do you need LAN cables in the garage?

You are the clients, aren't you?! What kind of restrictive contract did you sign? What EL wants or doesn't want,... insists on the empty conduit without Cat. He should put a blind plug or cork on it if he's afraid that air will whistle through. Please be persistent and don't let yourselves be led by the nose even during construction, I already feel sorry now.

We have a completely standard builder contract.

Anything beyond the standard must be discussed with the partners and commissioned as a special request.

The prices will be determined by the partner or the electrician themselves.

We have to accept it as it is now.

Again, my question is what is your opinion and your experience.

Can the access point in the living room cover the garden 11x20m and the garage with WLAN (it doesn't have to reach extreme speeds) or should we definitely keep the option open to be able to install another access point at the garage or in the garden house?

Likewise, having a LAN cable for the wallbox.

Why does it have to be a patch panel in the garage? A double socket will do just fine there.

No patch panel is needed in the garage

The patch panel goes in the basement in the house we installed 4 Cat Duplex sockets.

= 8-port patch panel

Now the only question is whether we still need Cat in the garage or not

if yes, we would need a larger patch panel, the 12-port one

But., you had included the patch panel in the 500 euro costs - or how was the to be understood? I would definitely pull LAN there now.

So our router is located in the utility room and has to transmit signals across the house. So 15m through the house and then another approximately 20m to the farthest corner of the property. Reception is poor there. But we also don't have an amplifier in the living room. With that, we can easily reach the next neighbor.

Regarding the garage cable: Get it installed! 500€ is still bearable, even if it's outrageous. By the way, you can also arrange the EL trades with a developer to keep the price surcharges within limits. That is a matter between you and the craftsman.
