Attached are 2 simple sketches of the L-shape. One without air space, bay window, etc...

Does it have potential or is it nonsense?

The parents' area then gets sleeping, dressing, and its own bathroom again.

You will not be able to make the parent bedroom look nice. At least I had not found a solution. To equip the dressing room, bathroom, and bedroom with daylight.

Can you build wide enough to design the ground floor like that?

Attached are 2 ideas.

If the house starts 7m away from the street, then the plot at the point where the ground floor gets wider is about 18.5m wide. So it should fit.

Already the first shown draft was not "crap," but I can immediately see that you would be most disappointed exactly in the places where you hope the spice would lie in the plan once it is built.

Two compliments: first, it is conceptually getting better, and second, I am more and more pleased with doodles than with software images (the software alone does not make anyone an architect).

I deliberately did not address this: you probably asked with the motive to already gain a basis for the direction, but I rather fear a commitment from it. In your place (i.e. "with without" experience) I would proceed by creating two drafts and developing them independently: one from an arrangement of the rooms as one would like it (without regard to fitting into the plot) and the other reversed, i.e. taking the building envelope and arranging the rooms within it; and then in a second step compare the two and list what is more successful in A and what in B. Your plot fits for a layman, in a building gap DIY would probably be "a bit too much."

And that would be exactly the worst if the "special" is the "crap"... so very good that I got active here.

Thanks
It was the first time scribbling and it actually was more fun (and faster)
The feedback collected so far has of course already helped to change one thing or another!

I think I am not creative enough for that, or I am too much with the thought of the plot constantly in my head like "it just doesn’t fit anyway"...

I will try to draw one or two house shapes again. Then I will already have a few comparable designs. Whenever I finish something new I will gladly post it and look forward to further feedback!

What I already noticed...

Previous dimensions: 11*12.85 on 2 floors makes 280 sqm plus bay window 25 sqm equals over 300 sqm

Dimensions in this design: 7*6 + 12*7 on 2 floors makes 250 sqm.

So without having to give up room sizes (no more open spaces and gallery) already saved 50 sqm of space.

your parent in the original draft - accessible through the dressing room - dressing room with daylight - dressing room closed - bathroom well usable Advantages of the closed dressing room: One can sleep One can turn on the light Choose clothes No need to sneak around You don’t have that there. Keep scribbling Keep searching Keep trying
