Is the straight single-flight staircase as a common thread also in the new designs a coincidence, or a supposed must-have?
It is not a must-have, however, of all the staircases we have admired so far, we always found the straight ones the most beautiful. What idea would you have about it?
Why don’t you rotate the utility room 90 degrees and attach it to the bedroom and instead extend the hallway to the outer wall?
I will try that, the disadvantage would then be that on the left side of the staircase there would again be a tall wall going up (claustrophobic).
Are the three children's rooms at the top of the plan a dogma? A bit of reshuffling the floor plan would probably do the upper floor good.
I don’t understand that, what exactly do you mean?
K1 and K2 different and K3 still unknown?
Correct
The option to swap the room allocations of work and K1 in a few years could be interesting; and small children sometimes like to share a room.
Would that be an argument for having only 2 children’s rooms?

And again 2 questions in advance:
An open roof truss would of course be something... but won’t I miss the storage space?
And any idea how a fireplace could fit in? How do you find that?
