With 2 children, okay. That might work. But with 3 (different genders), I see a lot of potential for conflict. Don’t you think so?

I am indeed a supporter of the children's bathroom (there have been quite different discussions about that here), but 3 bathrooms on the upper floor still seem excessive to me for 185m2. Better to have a shower toilet on the ground floor, and the oldest one just has to walk downstairs if everything upstairs is occupied. Bathrooms are expensive too, and even with a small bathroom you can expect to pay around 15,000€.

I would also leave out the third bathroom on the upper floor. You still have one downstairs, and if it ever gets really tight, a child can always use your bathroom. Showers alternated (maybe it's only two or three years when everyone has to leave the house at the same time), quiet place downstairs, and brushing teeth, putting on makeup, etc. can be done together. You can agree on that. Many families of five only have one bathroom.

I like the wardrobe in your last suggestion. Remove the third bathroom on the upper floor.
I really find the last one quite good.

But is it still what you imagined?
With the original draft, I had the feeling it had to look like a villa. There is no such thing as too big, gallery, open rooms, etc.
How high did you envision the ground floor to be?
Right now it looks more like a city villa.

I would keep the two bathrooms upstairs and only a toilet and sink downstairs.

It’s a bit contradictory. For the closed wardrobe/light topic think more of those few days, but not for the bathroom? As long as the kids are at home / go to school I already see the compromise every day (parents’ bathroom vs going up stairs vs waiting). Of course, 15,000€ is not to be underestimated. But honestly, this decision gives me a bit of a stomach ache. Thanks, me too. By moving the parents’ area to the upper floor there are no longer air spaces, but exactly these generous areas are possible because of that!! No. But I also no longer believe that what I imagined would really have been what would have made us happy as a family in the long run... That’s the nice thing about the last draft. The rooms have actually become ALL bigger considered individually!!! But of course no longer a hole in the ceiling. Currently the plan is for 2.76m, but I would like to add another 10cm. What do you say? Honestly, we are already heading back towards a pitched roof (with a small slope). Since we have significantly more storage space, we don’t really need the large attic anymore. And a pitched roof saves another good 25,000€ in the end. What I like a lot is a flat roof, but that’s even more expensive and no attic at all…. noooo.

So a total of 4 bathrooms, I find that exaggerated for 5 people. We were 5 children and had 2 bathrooms + a small guest toilet. There were still rarely any conflicts. For example, in the morning I was always in the bathroom at the same time as my sister. I got up about 5 minutes earlier and went to the toilet first and was then finished a few minutes earlier accordingly and then she went. The rest we just did side by side, etc.
