Definitely a washbasin in the WC, yes.

I didn't mean it that way either. Separate the toilet from the children's bathroom... In my opinion, the children can gladly take on the problem of who can use the bathroom, how and when. Prudery can also be overdone.

Yes, and dark. Maybe the wall to the utility room and children's bathroom could be made of glass (glass bricks) for daylight (of course not transparent).

Reconsider shower on the ground floor

I find it quite practical. Either as an option (3rd shower for 5 people), guests have their "own" shower, if old or sick you can sleep downstairs and shower.
