I am calculating about 80 sockets, but I have not yet dealt with it in detail. First, the floor plan.

But that is exactly what I mean – we don’t need nice delicate objects as a centerpiece. Good coating is also available at a reasonable price, and what Villeroy & Boch sometimes does with it is not a good testimony either (see reviews). And we actually don’t care about the staircase, as long as it doesn’t creak (and the design foresees decoupled steps recessed into the wall). Whether beech with metal railing or white oak... it is a staircase and not a fashion item. We will not spend thousands of euros more just because we would find something else nicer. Firstly, that is not affordable and secondly, it is not worth that much to us.

Better something that is not visible

Extremely tight, I would say. But OP also wants to have a pantry in there and otherwise I don’t see any storage for vacuum cleaner, mop bucket, broom, and co. That will certainly be interesting.

That’s okay, I wanted to hear criticism so that I can improve something. Otherwise, we would have built it exactly like that.

Exactly!

Even though I naturally hope for constructive contributions like "for the size you usually need x sockets" instead of just being laughed at for the scope of work description no offense

There is no rule; it depends on personal needs. It was more meant ironically by me. Because I read: tight budget, no sample selection.

However, in the first quote you put it well, you don’t want any extras. Okay, that’s doable. But you will live in the house for 40 years. Others like are close to retirement, building sparingly since they are not often at home anyway but rather on the boat.

I’ll be a bit provocative. If you only need a computer corner in the living room anyway, then the 33 sqm there is exaggerated.

Ok. Then this is a need that must be taken into account. Nevertheless, I would like to point out that privacy protection does not necessarily have to come through the carport.

It would be necessary to determine from which height a privacy screen effectively blocks the view from the windows. If sufficiently high and well positioned, masonry or suitable planting will also do.

The original feeling of 2000sqm of privacy cannot be reproduced either way.

Really stupid question: Why move out at all? Sounds like no significant quality leap with the new building.

Yes, you are quite funny. ...says someone who questions laypeople about this and that here.

This is how the forum works: one knows more than the other. Others see more than others. Have you ever heard of operational blindness and self-love for one's own design?

A few here even have expertise – more people have a better eye, different perception, and a certain neutrality than the questioner who explicitly asks here about concerns regarding the design.

No one wants to label anyone here. It’s about practicability, improvements, and opening eyes to the fact that some designs have nothing to do with the wishes of the OP, as well as finding alternatives. These suggestions are offered here free of charge and without signature. What the OP does with it is their own business.

But to devalue it again and again and (unfortunately already read from you) to label those people who take time here as arrogant just because they have more expertise, I find cheeky.

And yes: of course, the questionnaire also includes a note about the price range. Unfortunately, it is hardly consistently filled out.
