Dear SEH owners,
You are to blame for me registering in this forum. I haven’t found such a great thread with so much information anywhere else. THANK YOU for that already!
And just now I saw that the thread is coming back to life again, even with an issue that also concerns me.
I, or rather we (early 60s), are currently interested in acquiring an Elementhus – supposedly the model „Stockholm 121“, built in 1974. The house is part of a complex of 5 identical (outside) detached houses with different garages in between.
Actually, at first I didn’t want to know anything about the „prefabricated house“, but because of the abundant information from „HarvSpec“ I changed my mind. However, I have a different wall structure (here a quote from the construction description):
»The exterior walls are 21 cm thick and consist from inside to outside of: 10 to 12 mm carrier panel, load-bearing wooden structure, plastic vapor barrier, 120 mm mineral wool, 13 mm bituminized insulation board, air gap and facade cladding made of COLOROC. (COLOROC is a solid clinker made of colored concrete, available in four different colors). The thermal insulation value of the exterior wall averages K(U) of 0.27«.
Question 1: What experiences do you have with it and is the construction suitable for additional external insulation (because there is no aluminum layer)? And 0.27 is amazingly good for a 50-year-old wooden house :O
Question 2: Due to the current energy crisis I want to completely change the heating (has to go out anyway) and switch to surface heating. I read that „Luponell“ did that and very recently ChriHol. I would be very interested in detailed experiences.
Question 3 to ibsylon: may I contact/call you? My address created especially for this forum – thanks HarvSpec – is [E-Mail]fuchs.home.2023@gmail.com[E-Mail]
Of course, anyone else of you can also contact me with tips but also questions. Via the forum or the mail.
In any case, many thanks already and I will gladly post my experiences here as well – if I buy/get the house.
Best regards from the south
Dietmar
