Hello,
since you have so much experience: Do you know anything about pollutants in houses? Wood preservatives, etc?
I look forward to any information.
Thank you very much

Hello dear Sweden house experts,
I don't know if my previous inquiries to Harv and Ibsylon have been received, so here is a new attempt:
Can anyone tell me if the houses (especially Elementhus "Landskrona" from the 1970s) are contaminated in any way - wood preservatives, asbestos, or the like?
Best regards

If they were private messages, then no, because all participants must have already written >150 posts for that. But here in the thread publicly, your one question is now readable three times . That is unnecessary, Knut Buttnase also thinks so.

To my knowledge - I have been living in "Landskrona" since 1974 - you don't have to worry about that.

The black boards under the concrete stone facade ("Coloroc") are called "Asfaboard" or something similar = Asphalt = Bitumen.

Definitely not asbestos, I don't know where it would be.

For example, in our case - after completion - chipboards were laid on the floor upstairs, bought here, they smelled bad for a very long time, back then people were not as informed that it was unhealthy...

So maybe you don't know if everything is still in its original condition.

The wood preservatives in the roof truss - I remember - leaked out during rain while mounting, apparently water-soluble.

But: I am by no means a construction expert or anything like that!

Where exactly is your "Landskrona"?

Good luck!
Ybsilon

Our tests were negative!
There was no asbestos anywhere in the house!

If you are concerned, you can also simply have a test done in a laboratory.
Costs are manageable.

We are currently finalizing the interior construction!
Have just laid the floor (solid oak)
Have tried to bring as little moisture into the house as possible due to the wooden structure.
