Swedish Element House / AB-Elementhus Renovation vs Demolition

It is also a SEH (Schwedische Elementhäuser GmbH in FFM distributed and built AB Elementhus houses in Germany) in my case.

Do you still have the original windows in your house or have you already replaced them and happen to have pictures/info on how the beams were constructed?

The thing with the pollutants would be very pleasing if it turns out to be true.

I was interested in wooden houses made in Sweden for a while. Not because I am so fond of Sweden, but because they have been building like that for centuries and in my opinion have the longest experience there. Although this company here was not on my shortlist, overall all the Swedish companies I looked at made a very solid and also "eco-oriented" impression. Therefore, I think preservation definitely makes sense if the floor plan fits.

To obtain a more precise expert opinion, I probably would not necessarily try to contact the manufacturer themselves or someone who knows about it. A local wooden house builder should also be able to assess it well. And if you remodel and then choose someone to do it with who possibly has a similar wall construction, they will certainly be able to give well-founded information.

Or: does the company still exist in Sweden? Just call them - all Swedes speak very good English, communication should work.

Personally, however, I would prefer the local wooden house builder.
