Hello everyone, I haven't checked in here for a long time. We still live in our Landskrona and have been working diligently. But recently I have a subtenant in our suspended ceiling :/
So the ceiling between the ground floor and the attic. I am puzzled by the walking paths and would like to know the construction of the ceiling. Unfortunately, until today I have no documents or plans for our Landskrona.
Does anyone have information about the ceiling construction?
I suspect the modules will have joints and the mouse can easily walk there. But it almost sounds as if everything is hollow in the ceiling?

Many greetings and thanks for your help.

This is the wooden ceiling. We simply sanded and oiled it. Before, it was stapled with cardboard and painted white.

Hello Elementhus_CJ, we have a "Borgholm," but the ceiling structure should be the same. And I can also provide drawings. Write me an email at christoph_ät_hippelandexpress_Punkt_de. There seem to be an older and a newer version, anyway our previous owner (who handled sales in this area) noted for our house "walls new, ceilings old." The ceiling elements are filled with pressed planing and sawdust. The individual elements are separated by plywood boards and dampened with corrugated cardboard or similar. It is possible that the uninvited guest made its way there. Cables also run through these intermediate spaces. Best regards Christoph

On page 1 I took apart a wall element. The ceiling elements are constructed identically: 2cm cross-laminated timber, 16cm wood shavings, 2cm cross-laminated timber. Between the elements there is glass wool, mice liked to settle in the walls at spots where they could get in. We then removed everything.

The elements transmit sound very well, so if a mouse walks on top you can hear it very well below. We have a cold roof, so this also happens from time to time.

Hello everyone,

I am considering buying a house of the type Ängelholm 105 in BW east of Stuttgart. It has the wall construction with glass wool and the Coloroc facade and is definitely in need of renovation. Depending on the craftsman, it is more or less in need of renovation. I have found that if you ask 5 craftsmen, you get 5 opinions.
Regarding the Coloroc facade, my first question is: does anyone know if asbestos fibers are contained in it? Has anyone already tested this? I am inclined to leave it as is for now, since no new external insulation is planned and the stones are still in good condition. However, they are very dirty and I am considering a house facade cleaning. But first, it must be ruled out whether asbestos is contained. I am considering a test for this but wanted to ask here first. In the neighborhood, there is also an AB-element house of a different type, but also with Coloroc. The owner told me that the Coloroc is without asbestos and she has already had it cleaned and repainted.

Many thanks also to all the writers here, the thread is really helpful. Since everything in the house still works at the moment, I am inclined to renovate bit by bit. However, after reading, I think it makes sense to renew everything from scratch. On the other hand, I have acquaintances who say that if everything works in the house, I shouldn’t touch anything for now!

I look forward to exchanging ideas here, although the Ängelholm type does not seem to be very common here.

Best regards Jana

Part of the kitchen is already dismantled and I was able to take a look at the construction of the ceiling. Under the wooden ceiling there is a fiberboard (?), foil (damaged) and glass wool. I am inclined to tear everything down and make a suspended ceiling with drywall.
