You set the temperatures in the rooms once. In the bedrooms, you turn the valves until the temperature is right. The heat pump does the rest via the flow temperature.

For implementation, I would recommend you take a look at the Enocean system. Eltako/Opusgreen etc. Except for the configurable switch with display, there is everything you want.

Roller shutters controllable only via smart home, without physical switches. Seasonally controlled (Sonoff relay). We have Homematic, works very well with radio. I still find switches practical sometimes, it's faster than using Google Assistant and directly at the window.

[*]I also want to control underfloor heating circuits only via smart home. For that, I would need temperature & humidity sensors in the rooms. Which ones could you recommend here? Which relays could I use for the valves? There is only on or off. Probably would need about 8 to 10 pieces. I would leave that out too. People rarely adjust that. For temperature and humidity sensors, I can only recommend Tasmota/ESP8266/Wemos to you, for DIY, everything can be connected. A temp/humi/motion sensor with Wemos D1 Mini plus power supply should cost around €10 (China import)?
[*]I want to override light switches in the rooms with Shellys. Shellys are great.
[*]There should be touchscreens on two floors with all information and control options, Openhab+Habpanel?
[*]Additionally, Android apps on every phone to control the home. You mean the Openhab app?
[*]A configurable button with display in the living room? What could be used here? We don't have that, build yourself? Wemos + display?
[*]Alarm system via motion sensors and possibly door contacts. I have Xiaomi gateway + window contacts. Motion sensors don’t work for us because of cat and children. Xiaomi motion sensors then control the Shellys if needed. I still have a Sonoff Touch, which displays and switches the status of the alarm system.
[*]Control via Openhab. Openhab is great too. Do you know Openhabian?
[*]Which sensor can I use to control any actuator with a simple wall switch? I don’t quite understand the question, I think. Xiaomi has battery switches for switching, with which everything can be controlled via Openhab. Or install a Sonoff Basic/Mini or Shelly behind a switch and then control anything with Openhab? Or Sonoff Touch?

Do you have ideas or suggestions for that? Everything should be realizable fairly cheaply. Programming effort on my side is welcome.

Robot vacuum cleaner? Socket planned for it?
I would also plan a brightness sensor for coordinating roller shutters/TV/light.
Door contacts at the gate door?
Outdoor cameras planned?
Possibly spend a little more money for better gas/electricity/water meters that allow good reading?
Plan the parking space for the lawn mower robot close to the house so that it has good WLAN.

Super answer.
That's exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you

Oh very interesting topic. I am/am standing before similar decisions.

At first, I only wanted to use Fibaro (controller/sensors/actuators), but now I have openHAB running on Synology (Docker).
As a trial, I ordered an actuator, dimmer, roller shutter, motion sensor from Fibaro and the USB stick from Aeotec, all Z-Wave. The Shellys are also still on my list to try, as well as the Aeotec multisensor.

Additionally integrated are a Xiaomi Roborock, Samsung TV, Philips Hue, and a weather station.
It gets more difficult with the integration of controlled ventilation, washing machine, dryer, etc. There is usually KNX installed. Maybe pull a bus cable to those two points as "preparation"?

I am really positively surprised, openHAB runs very stable. Ok... it’s “only” those few devices.

I’m with , I wouldn’t do without switches.

I had also considered that at first, but now I’m sparing myself.

Regarding the setup of OpenHAB, I have to say there was a lot where a “layman” would probably despair, and with every binding there was somehow an issue that didn’t work properly in the stable release...
But anyone planning something like this, in my opinion, knows what they are getting into.
Also think about where you install it. A Raspberry Pi was not my first choice.

What kind of weather station do you have? Openweathermap works quite well for me, only the current precipitation doesn’t. So I’m still looking for something decent there.

I got lucky with controlled residential ventilation, an outstanding user once wrote an Openhab binding for Helios. However, I only use it 1-2 times a year. It’s basically the same as with the underfloor heating. But I’m working on a TVOC sensor, and a CO sensor is just finished; it should then turn off the controlled ventilation if bad odors come from outside.

Washing machine/dryer/oven/stove/dishwasher/fridge—I wouldn’t know what could/should become smart there. It always requires user interaction. At most “finished,” but for that a Sonoff POW would be enough.

I have Openhab on a Pi 3; additionally, Pihole/Grafana/Influxdb are running. But it’s starting to reach its limits. What do you use?

Renkforce WH2600 with the IP-Box. Identical to AmbientWeather WS1400 IP. There are several providers that build identical boxes. Firmware is also compatible.
Whether it’s any good, time will tell. Certainly not a Mercedes but okay for a start.

Well, in combination with a photovoltaic system I could actually imagine something there. Whether it’s useful would have to be tested. And if it’s just a notification via Telegram that the laundry is done. Just playing around... or smart?

Synology DS918+, also with Grafana and Influxdb in separate Docker containers. That way it’s nicely separated.

The Pi, well. I’m kind of burned on that too. Back then I had the Pi with FHEM and the EQ Max thermostats, plus the 433 MHz radio sockets. That was (sorry) garbage. Then the SD card broke after half a year and everything was gone. No, never again.

That’s why I try to avoid it as much as possible. Openhab is already “a makeshift solution” enough. I don’t want to cobble together 5 other interfaces with the Pi as well.

In an emergency, it’s just classic wiring and I remove the radio components. If the Synology or anything crashes, I can still operate 95% with switches. That was very important to me (or my wife ).
