I did all of this without SI. The programming is done by myself; only the cable installations had to be carried out by an electrician, as it is a new build apartment from the developer. I was glad that it was even possible to still plan it in, although the shell construction was already standing. Cost-wise, this was the highest expense since it was billed hourly. 114 sqm including materials about 10k additional cost. However, this does not include the wiring of the components; he only sets everything up on terminal blocks, the rest I do myself. However, if you have free choice of craftsmen, it will certainly be a bit cheaper. Mine had to do a lot of chasing. In every corner 5x2.5 for light coves, air conditioning preparation and wall presence detectors above the doors. Torto presence detectors everywhere still have boxes with KNX in case you ever need the green cable after all. That makes it all expensive, but you have to keep in mind, afterwards you can no longer simply add KNX. Everything was planned without SI, that works too if you read up on it. Let's see if everything works as it should. Oh yes, components come to about €3700 (actuators, PMs and switches with display), all from MDT and enertex.

I can imagine things very well because it's my job! I myself have completed 2 KNX programming courses. That's exactly why I'm asking. So far, however, I haven't found a useful, smart application for myself that justifies the extra cost for comfort in a single-family house. I'm still waiting for examples. The function and installation described by to avoid locking yourself out is insanely complex, and I still doubt that it works without completely filling the garden with sensors. I just can't imagine it otherwise. And that's simply way too expensive. A fingerprint lock costs 1000 euros, offers 10 times more comfort, and I can never lock myself out again (except in a power outage, but there's a UPS for that).

Hmm actually it is only a byproduct since nothing extra was purchased for this, because it is simply the components responsible for shading and lighting being used to just depict another scenario.

Ensuring presence/absence detection in the house without having to press buttons is insanely complicated (but also doable).

Why? Where do you see the critical points?

P.S. The size of the garden is irrelevant.

We will minimize the lockout risk with window contacts, locking function of the shading with the door open, and analogous insect protection.
