Incidence of light through floor-to-ceiling south-facing window
Nothing reaches the open space.

North-facing windows are great in summer, otherwise nothing. I notice the difference at our place. In the children's rooms it is still bright; in the bedroom, light is needed.
West and east-facing windows provide good light when the south is shaded in summer.

Ok, that is actually quite dark. But there are no east and west windows in that room, right? If we then work with east and west windows, do you still consider it too dark?

The one from a general contractor. But otherwise, your opinion is somewhat baseless. You are quite grumpy today. You can clearly see the intended building line along the course of the street. You will probably have to stick to that. I find the dormer on top important. I would make the windows on top rather wide than floor-to-ceiling. Don’t let our opinion about the lack of light spoil your enthusiasm for building. It is a great plot. #26 or 's suggestion fits pretty well. Execute the carport delicately. Separate the storage, put as many windows as possible on the side. No gray, but white interior frames, light-colored furniture. And in summer, you have the great plot.

I also don’t believe that you can get sunlight in the living area with the south attic. But it creates a good mood when you see it exactly where it is. We always preach that light in the chill area is overrated, since you mostly just sit there in the evening watching TV anyway. I am also convinced that sunlight is needed in the kitchen and especially in the dining area. There are living areas that are intentionally located in the north because of the view (great slope, garden, etc). And that should be taken into account here as well. However, I would recommend a panoramic window and not 2 or 3 standard patio doors. You shouldn’t consider that too modern either. By the way, I was just in our north bathroom with our little fitzel window. It was brighter than the view from and out of the window I see a sunlit nature (for us, the street ) I mean, of course, our front yard.

Southwest, west, northwest. The room is always bright. I just wanted to show you how "good" the light incidence is

At the entrance right by the window it is bright, the question is how far it reaches into the house and nothing reaches the open-plan area
