Additionally, the straight staircase, which takes up a lot of space in an already not very large house (see hallway upper floor with 11m2), which the other rooms lack.
The straight staircase was actually the reason why I started this thread here. I already thought that another stair shape would make more sense and wanted suggestions for this
Why was the basement (better finished basement level) actually discarded? For cost reasons?
Exactly. The architect’s price estimate was at least 60-70 TEUR for a basement – unfortunately, that is nowhere near feasible... The plot is also not nearly as hilly. I had already edited in my post a few pages earlier that the dashed line does not represent the current plot layout. Where the house is supposed to stand is a level area, which only rises again after the house. This is about 1.80 - 1.90 m up to the end of the plot. So it’s quite manageable.
I can’t find the spot anymore: is there a building envelope? Why not set the house further back? Or a long house that just touches the building line at the front?
The building envelope is the front parcel due to §34 Building Code – at least that’s what the architect says.
