I am not sure about the quote in the linked post whether it only referred to town villas (with hipped roofs) or whether the height in general is a problem.

You have the 6-meter wall in both cases

Of course that's true. In my opinion, larger roof overhangs are optically well realizable with a gable roof if the OP wants a cozier look because of that. I am now of the opinion that the house shape must adapt to the requirements of the house. I used to see it differently and dreamed of an urban villa with a hipped roof.

With a 2-full-story building, however, the roof pitch can also be significantly reduced and thus the height, provided it is allowed by the building plan.

Well, maybe a bit of both. I think it's perfectly okay to dream of a gable roof with a low knee wall. But then you shouldn't be surprised if you don't have a panoramic view on the eaves side without further effort. Then you have to spend extra money on dormers or additional gables. Or you turn the box around and it pinches somewhere else. Then you put more money in there again. The learning effect is rather that the wishlist for 155 sqm is very long. At some point, there is an end to that, and either the budget and sqm increase or the wishes get smaller.

I’ll do that later

Regarding the topic of 2 full floors, first a few general things:
In my opinion, we need a fairly large area on the ground floor to accommodate everything. If we go for 2 full floors, we have to reduce the size downstairs to end up with a total square meter number that fits within the subsidy (max. 160 m² including terrace proportionally) and within our budget. But then we will have problems downstairs.

That is indeed very pretty and would definitely be more of an option than a full-story pitched roof. I’ll take another close look at it later.

Here I only see the advantages for placing the wardrobes. Otherwise, I actually find the sloping roof in the bedroom nice. Currently, we only have 1 m – I find that too little. I think 1.4 m is great. But everyone has their own wishes and views.
Thanks for the links, I just don’t find pitched roof houses that pretty. The proportions don’t fit.

I’ll create that once in my program; I have never consciously seen that in real life.

Basically, I agree with you, but I should be happy looking at my house and find it beautiful.

Which, in my opinion, doesn’t improve the look.
Height according to the development plan is

That would be the better option for me than 2 full floors, which also cost money.

And that was our original plan. But unfortunately, it pinches there as well... We have to find out for ourselves which pinching we find worse.
