Show me.
I’ll do that later
Regarding the topic of 2 full floors, first a few general things:
In my opinion, we need a fairly large area on the ground floor to accommodate everything. If we go for 2 full floors, we have to reduce the size downstairs to end up with a total square meter number that fits within the subsidy (max. 160 m² including terrace proportionally) and within our budget. But then we will have problems downstairs.
I also find a 3-gable house very pretty
That is indeed very pretty and would definitely be more of an option than a full-story pitched roof. I’ll take another close look at it later.
A bug as a feature? – that someone here explicitly wishes for less headroom in the bedrooms is at least rare
Here I only see the advantages for placing the wardrobes. Otherwise, I actually find the sloping roof in the bedroom nice. Currently, we only have 1 m – I find that too little. I think 1.4 m is great. But everyone has their own wishes and views.
Thanks for the links, I just don’t find pitched roof houses that pretty. The proportions don’t fit.
But with a pitched roof, I think larger roof overhangs can be visually well realized if the OP wants a cozier look because of that.
I’ll create that once in my program; I have never consciously seen that in real life.
I have meanwhile come to the opinion that the house shape must adapt to the requirements of the house. I used to see it differently and dreamed of a city villa with a hipped roof.
Basically, I agree with you, but I should be happy looking at my house and find it beautiful.
With a 2-full-story house, you can also reduce the roof pitch considerably and thus the height, provided this is allowed by the building plan.
Which, in my opinion, doesn’t improve the look.
Height according to the development plan is
max. height of 8.5 m measured from the ground floor floor level to the highest point of the roof structure (for roofs up to 7°, only 7.5 m height)
Then extra money is needed for dormers or additional gables
That would be the better option for me than 2 full floors, which also cost money.
Or you rotate the box, and it pinches somewhere else.
And that was our original plan. But unfortunately, it pinches there as well... We have to find out for ourselves which pinching we find worse.
