Thank you very much for the pictures and your experiences, and !

I will inquire at the building authority and will probably implement it that way - I like it visually very much because a high-gloss driveway does not suit our house either, and if it proves practical, it is a cost-effective alternative.

Off topic for insiders: Hennes is standing there waiting for Max. Cool. .

I would also move the house as far as possible to the southeast and orient the main terrace towards the west. Then you have a nice view to the north over the open field and a large contiguous garden. The quiet living area to the north with north and west windows, usually you are there mostly in the afternoon/evening anyway. Kitchen facing the street, dining area with a 3m sliding door towards the west. Living area separable by sliding door. Cloakroom under the stairs (EBS). Guest also gets east-facing window. Bathroom as well. Here is a rough sketch of how I imagine it. Carport is usually allowed at the street.

I only found this on the tablet. That was 10 years ago.

So, we have now had some time to think, we have tried a bit around and I also went to the property again.
I find your idea very appealing, especially the long side of the living area. However, I am not able to fit everything into the sketch you drew and also manage to include the upper floor. Does anyone else have any ideas?
Also, according to the development plan, unfortunately both carports and garages have to be 3 meters away from the street. Roof overhangs may protrude up to 1 meter into this area, maybe one can trick a little and place the support of the carport further back on the 3m boundary and have the roof extend beyond that? How does that look legally?

I also find the design by from #33 really interesting inside, but the house is too wide for me. It would be important for both of us to have the large, contiguous garden in the northwest, and not to be too close to the neighbor’s garage.

Would you sketch that for me?

Legally, such matters are more regulated by the state building code than by the individual development plan (which, if I remember correctly, you have not yet named, mind you without a link, for example "Posemuckel No. 123 behind the railway embankment"). Today I have replied to you with a read receipt.
