What does the submitted draft look like now? Is it still the architect's draft from your old post? I wasn't here in the forum back then. I wouldn't have overlooked the slope. If there are newer drafts here in the meantime, please link them.

The architect's cost estimate was very optimistic. If I see that correctly, he estimated 1500 euros per m2.

Back then, you were already advised to rather use the basement as well. Take the garage out of the house.

You live in the northeast of Bavaria. I thought there were more reasonable land and construction prices there.

By the way, I quite like the draft. Except that it no longer fits the budget.

I would replan here to basement + ground floor + partially developed attic and carport.

I had already made a draft here once. If desired, I can look it up.

190 for 3 people we also have. However, it was planned for 4. It is generous. Not so big that you need skates, but enough potential to shorten. I would say about 15 sqm per level is possible without lacking quality of life. Looking back at what other surprises came, I would recommend building smaller. Allow yourself financial leeway.

Architect is now re-planning. To be fair, this year simply everything has exploded, for which no one is really to blame. And no, I will not post the final plans and floor plans. I do not like these slaughter festivals.

Is it this one?

There is still a basement added here.
I count 5 basement rooms without office/hobby plus storage room on the ground floor.
Many people use the volume of a basement room for everything: freezer, utility room, storage.
I would consider using the slope, that is the basement floor, as living space. The parents' area could be there. Freezer stays, also for storage. Then a small utility room on the kids' floor.
That could relax a lot.
Were there not also many filler rooms on the ground floor? You could easily reduce the entire house by one or two meters in width.

Slaughtered, or rather criticized, are the careless DIY floor plans where only colorful Pinterest pictures are planned, but not the function. This risk is already minimized by the expert.
