We have a 10sqm room for ourselves as a master bedroom - in a nearly 240sqm house. So a very deliberate decision and not a makeshift solution due to lack of space...

Completely consciously planned. And of course there is - what else - a double bed with enough space on the left/right.

50" on the wall, bedside tables left/right & that’s it.

If you want to use the room as an ironing room at the same time, that’s obviously not enough, but to say that 10sqm is not enough for sleeping is a bit strange.

Could you agree on the abbreviation for the [Kinderzimmer] to be [Kinderzimmer] or something similar? The abbreviation KZ has somehow a negative connotation.

But then you also have to say that there is a walk-in closet somewhere with corresponding wardrobes! Otherwise, you’d have to add that to the space requirements...

It really doesn't have to be that politically correct, everyone will assume that it means a children's room!

Yes, thought that was logical - I did write what is inside. If you still need to have cabinets in there, then 10 sqm is too small - then it should be 3-4 more at least.

Well, I don't want to tell anyone what to do, everyone has their little pleasures, me too

For me, the space in the bedroom would be too precious, I’d rather use it elsewhere (e.g. for a luxurious bathroom), but that’s a personal decision.
Ironing in the utility room also has the advantage for me that I can just leave the stuff there, so we are planning a combined utility room/guest bathroom on the upper floor and as long as no guests have to use the bathroom, my ironing board will stay there and you can quickly iron something if needed without having to set up the thing every time. I find that practical and I don’t want it just standing around in the bedroom (meaning: at least I would always put it away after ironing).
And when I iron, I don’t watch TV because I have to look at the item being ironed, so I wouldn’t miss that either. However: with modern communication devices, I don’t see a problem watching TV even in the utility room if I want to
And to make everyone here jealous: my mother-in-law does the ironing for me
So I’m only an occasional ironer. With my workload, I just have to outsource some things, otherwise it wouldn’t be possible. I am very grateful for that.
