Do you possibly have a link to Nordlys's floor plan/picture? With almost 7k posts, I currently couldn't find one

Is the door meant into the garage from the garden side? It is done like that, yes.
How is the "window between the countertop and the wall cabinets" meant? Another window in the kitchen facing the north side?

Our problem is that your suggestion exactly matched our initial plan
However, the following disadvantages would arise (from our point of view):

1. Kitchen, dining, and living room form a corridor
2. are in full sun all day, which is not always an advantage
3. Living room would always be visible from the street side (with large windows), which is also not an advantage.
4. Longer distance between bedroom – bathroom

5. If the kitchen is placed on the west side, one has a longer way to the garden or the waste disposal routes are farther...
Currently, the latter would be possible via the terrace door or direction of the garage...

Hm. So we are having trouble properly weighing the pros and cons here.

In the search there is a field "written by"; I remember its parking bay from the house pictures thread and wouldn’t know right now if it would also be in one of his own threads – but I believe mostly only with others (if they have a question about parking bays or erratics or the like).

Yes, something like fixed glazing / daylight-illuminated spice rack

That will not work like that. Your short wall between the shower and the toilet is about 60cm. Your drawn toilet is therefore about 42x28cm...!! Our bowl is about 57x40cm plus 14cm in length for the pre-wall... that will also be added with you. If you draw that to scale, you will neither fit properly into the shower nor in front of the sink.

Your "cabinet" to the left of the sink is 27cm deep and 55cm wide... you will realize that yourself. You will bump into the towel rack every morning. Again: cut back on the technical installations!

Oh dear No! So: I was talking about countering. That means roughly mirroring. Then there’s no corridor or longer distances if you see the garden more from the side. As I see it—correct me if I’m wrong—the embankment is to the east, so the plot is more bad than good there. That’s why you want the terrace in the south, and to the west there is the street and driveway?! (Of course, it would be best to sketch this out for yourself, also for the community here. We always have to rotate your design and remember where south and north are.) Edit: thanks, Anyway: You argue with sunrise that hardly anyone can enjoy because no one is really home at that time of day. Instead, the sunset is ignored, from which every family member would benefit because the family is home in the evening, best sitting in the garden. Then someone could look into your LR. I still don’t see that. Now someone can rather look at your unmade bed... In case you misunderstand me: please here: There can be a nice hedge or planting toward the street and you have a great garden with a great house orientation. You also don’t have longer distances to the trash, but can even store the waste more conveniently at the back by the utility room. The only downside I see would be a slightly longer supply connection. But this is not the end of the planning horizon yet, and the costs are negligible. However, I would now probably counter the hallway as well... you have to see what the upper floor does. At least this way you get a bit more light in the living areas... kitchen and dining is anyway more about communication, so it doesn’t matter if you are seen.... Basically, one should mention that no one cares about your life, just as you don’t hang around streets and look into strangers’ windows. That’s just as nonsense as you not staring out the window every day to watch the sunrise. You do that briefly if it happens, then you go about your daily work. P.s. still bedroom upstairs, hobby room downstairs!

Hello again 11ant!
Sorry, but I’m having a hard time understanding your explanation.
So basically you mean that no garage should be built? ops:

I found a post from Nordlys regarding a parking bay, but I also don’t understand the connection to our case.
