Thanks for your detailed response - you obviously made the effort to read the entire thread, even though I believe some things got mixed up.. with that amount of information, I think that's quite normal

I will try to answer everything, even if I don’t simply "work through" it.

The freezer you mean appeared with the dog food. That’s why it’s in the shed. Our food is in the freezer next to the kitchen, as can be seen in the last posted draft. The living area no longer separates the cooking and dining areas. We have planned a table for 8-10 people, no more guests come by, big parties take place in the garden or at other locations, then we basically just deliver.

The wellness area has moved from the separate outdoor area inside. This is partly because it makes sense space-wise, you have a beautiful view of the pond and garden, and you can share it with guests without them having to walk through the bedroom; on the other hand, it fits the concept of simplifying things, we no longer have to run lines multiple times through the garden.

We still have plenty of storage, on the one hand in the attached garage, on the other hand in the already mentioned shed. I don’t think I’ll be able to accommodate any more.

Even if this seems incredible to everyone here, the path is not completely random.
- Children’s rooms have always been part of the plan, we are not leaving them out – primarily rooms planned as such I prefer to use otherwise rather than later converting an office into a children’s room. We try to find a middle ground in size: not stingily small, but also not uncomfortably large. If that works, it fits for us. We gladly give up the 20%. We also like having all the family rooms on one level. There are also alternative options if the kids want some peace.
- The guest rooms can be separated as an apartment together with the "playroom" and a bathroom. The unused door is locked and the key taken out. This is important for us for longer visits and is now better planned than before. At the same time, the second kitchen offers an alternative as long as children are small and don’t want to play separated from the parents in the garden.
- The kitchen upstairs can smell however it wants, no one is disturbed. Bedrooms are separated, the open staircase doesn’t disturb since most smells rise upwards. Adequate ventilation is given by the possibility to ventilate crosswise – large areas from south to north can be opened to let out built-up heat in summer.
- The wellness area now includes a sauna and the large bathtub and can be used by everyone.
- The large room upstairs contains only kitchen, dining room, and fireplace room/library. A TV is downstairs in the fireplace room.
- Laundry, heating, and electrical connection rooms are located on the ground floor. The first has a laundry chute from above and space for an ironing board etc. Electrical connections are in the pantry, which can be accessed through the garage.
- There is a fireplace connection near the kitchen.
- The garage offers additional storage space

And a current draft, please excuse the tilt - without sunlight it is not quite so easy to take a picture here.

I was just corrected: A TV is hanging downstairs in the living room, not in the fireplace room (which does not exist)

Hmm ... I don’t understand why you separate kitchen/dining and garden access. Especially when the parties with many people take place in the garden/shed etc., everything always goes from top to bottom.

Where is the space for 1000 books now?

One hardly dares to say anything anymore. So I better leave it. - Too much criticism. What I would be interested in is what the structural engineer will probably say about the size of the living room? Whether 2-3 columns will still need to be placed in the middle? Or is it different with wooden houses?

the garden access is not separated - there is a balcony with stairs going down in front of the large room. We drew the floor plan yesterday, and we probably forgot to include it (because it's not a room). I'll add it right away.

Books will go on the back side of the dressing room and the west side, so the garage wall.
