Sorry, no time to read the long text. (You should definitely be more concise.) First attempt with stairs in the dining area and corresponding upper floor: The cellar entrance runs along the door in the hallway under the other staircase. Unfortunately, with this variant, there is only enough space for a normal 1/4 turn (no landing - program error!). I have to admit: the children only go as in the original draft - otherwise the lines end up again above the living room, which we do not want.

No, all of this is very important

The bathroom behind the bedroom - how likely is it that when one is already asleep and the other is showering, the one wakes up? So how problematic is the sound transmission, does anyone have an idea?

I like the dance area

With us, you can only hear a very faint rustling at the wall where the cable lies.
Hairdryer, singing, music etc. is louder

No pantry? Oh, what a pity! I couldn't live without one. For example, drinks. Where to put them? Or dog food (cats in our case). Going to the basement every time? Oh no.

It is important not to place the shower and toilet on the wall adjacent to the bedroom. Otherwise, properly insulate the pipes. I also sleep next to the bathroom and do not wake up, even though the shower is directly adjacent. You can also build extra soundproofing; the wall just needs to be made a bit thicker.

Speaking of walls - 27 cm exterior walls - is that normal?

I believe the kitchen and the huge island offer enough storage space. The last consideration was to put tall cabinets on the southeast corner against the wall and move the island up to the post. That only causes a little inconvenience and we can easily fit the fridge and freezer as well as the two ovens. Dog food is outside in the shed anyway, where there is still a large freezer chest, water comes from the tap, and coffee from the machine. We can fit the small stuff like that. In the worst case scenario, we can always repurpose the office.
