You can choose whatever you want. But it is (in most cases) the worse choice. With a dead corner, the cabinets on the right and left can be wider than with a corner solution. Then you have the extra width on several storage levels, whereas a carousel usually only has 2 levels. Besides, the carousel is usually more expensive than wide pull-out cabinets. But everyone does as they please. For me, it wouldn’t be anything to buy a more expensive, less practical mechanism that offers less storage space that is then even less practically accessible.
Well, instead of the carousel I could, for example, take a 100 cm instead of an 80 cm cabinet. So I have three pull-outs that are 20 cm wider. And that is the better solution? With the carousel, in addition to the 20 cm in width, I also used the entire corner. For example, you could easily fit 10 pots and pans on it. Or kitchen machines. Or or or. You just can’t do that with wider pull-outs. In that respect, your statement is unfortunately wrong for most cases. Of course, you are free to do whatever you think is better. P.S. For your information: The carousel doesn’t have a big “mechanism.” It’s simply two rotating shelves. And besides the corner cabinet, which you need anyway in some form, the carousel costs an additional €69. Right, a whole €69. Broken? Doesn’t matter, I’ll buy a new one. Not practical? Open the large door on the cabinet, bend down slightly, and grab it. Not less practical than the bottom pull-out of a normal base cabinet. I didn’t “need” the carousel either, but throwing away the corner space even less.
