have never been as practical as extracts.
They have never been as practical as pull-outs.
or 3. corner pull-outs, if someone is into that. That's true, but in a corner niche I only have two proper options: 1. Dead space (possibly hard-to-reach shelves) 2. Carousel And then I prefer number 2
Have they gotten that much worse?
It only works if base cabinets are installed around the corner (which is not the case for me) and you want to work with drawers that are almost unusable. That's why I didn't mention them (I have never seen them installed in a used kitchen).or 3. corner drawers, if someone is into that.
You can choose whatever you want. But it is (in most cases) the worse choice. With a dead corner, the cabinets on the right and left can be wider than with a corner solution. Then you have the extra width across several storage levels, whereas a carousel usually has only 2 levels. Also, the carousel is usually more expensive than wide pull-out cabinets. But to each their own. For me, it would be nothing to buy a more expensive, less practical mechanism that offers less storage space which is then even less practically accessible. That’s true, but in a corner niche I only have two proper options: 1. Dead space (possibly hard-to-reach shelves) 2. Carousel And then I prefer number 2
